I absolutely love the concept that her artwork has, with it running off the surface or 'canvas' if it were. It makes it look very natural and eye-catching. I can admire her greatly for thinking outside of the box, literally.

Ana Teresa Barboza was born in Lima, Peru. She is a painter and embroider who creates stunning landscapes using yarn, wool and embroidery thread. Her pieces often go off the surface she is working on, sometimes even onto the floor, which is incredibly unique. She was inspired by her grandmother who was always weaving, embroidering or sewing. She uses a range of synthetic, vegetable and animal yarn, and she likes to fuse a variety of techniques together like drawing with embroidery or photography, and mixing tissue (crochet sticks) with embroidery.
