Understand the use of display and presentation spaces Investigate how art/craft/design is displayed and exhibited:
a) consideration of appropriate location for display
b) display boards, mounting, information
c) lighting, sound, support materials
d) identify any hazards/risks (eg. extension cables, safety of display).
Understand how art or design work is presented, promoted, managed and sold Carry out a study of an artist/designer investigating:
- commercial – e.g. shops, craft centres, galleries, internet, magazines, hoardings
- public spaces – e.g. exhibitions, museums, colleges, galleries
- community spaces – e.g. subways, roundabouts, town centres.
