ISO is a standardised industry scale for measuring sensitivity to light, so in other words, it is a camera setting to brighten or darken a photograph.
ISO stands for International Standards Organisation.
ISO stands for International Standards Organisation.
ISO is measured in numbers, with the lowest number being the least sensitive to light. This means that the highest number is the most sensitive to light.
Although as you increase the ISO number, the brighter the photograph gets, but this also decreases the quality of the photograph, as it adds grain/noise to it.
Ideally, you should only raise the ISO when you are unable to brighten the photograph via aperture or shutter speed instead.
Typically, you should stick to a low ISO of 100 or 200 for best results.
