These are 12 of my favourite photographs that I took in Belfast, they are all quite different, but these are the ones that stood out to me the most, and had the most interesting results. As we were so busy driving around, I didn't really have time to stop and check my photographs, as I could have missed a nice light arrangement, so overall I am very pleased with how these turned out, and they are all unique, one-time photographs that can not be replicated, as they were all taken with light and motion.
To the left you will see my raw photographs straight from the camera, and to the right you will see my photographs after I made a few editing adjustments on Photoshop, mainly by using the exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, whites and blacks tabs. It is crazy to me how increasing the blacks made my photographs pop just that little bit more. |
This photograph was taken through the windshield in the car I was in, as you can vaguely make out the wing-mirror and air freshener. This photograph gives me nostalgia to my childhood, when I would be on a car ride home from a long day out, and I would start to feel a bit drowsy, and my vision would be obscured as I would drift off to sleep.

Overall, I am quite pleased with my final piece outcomes, I was originally going to go on another trip to the city to to take more photographs, although I was ill the day we had planned to go, and then another lock down had came into place. But I think I captured 'contrast' pretty well in my photographs from this evening out, and it was really fun experimenting with a more abstract style in my photographs, as it's not a style that I would typically go for, but I enjoyed it.
