After cutting the wool, yarn or thread, you will be left with a large clump of the fibers. Next you will take a sheet of paper, and 'paint' your chosen design on it with PVA glue and a paint brush. This can be rather messy, so make sure to cover any surfaces you are working on to reduce any damage.
The next step is to arrange your fibers onto your 'painting' to make the image come to life. I created a simple Christmas tree design as we were approaching the holidays and I was feeling festive. You then have to leave it somewhere to dry for at least 24 hours, and you have your final result. |
To begin tufting, you first need to get a spool of wool, yarn or thread. You will then proceed to very carefully cut through a couple layers of the wool, yarn or thread. Being careful as to not accidentally injuring yourself.
