Dean Chamberlain has been capturing photographs since 1967.
His love and passion for photography is what led him to the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he studied a Fine Art degree in 1974. During his university years, he discovered that his open shutter and long exposure technique created a light painting effect, and he coined that term. He specializes in light painting and has created a variety of pieces, including portraits of celebrities such as David Bowie and Paul McCartney. He has also directed some music videos. He has received a number of publications and has even received an MTV Breakthrough Award. He is currently working on his first book publication. |
Dean's photographs are very vibrant, which make them very eye-catching, Some of his pieces in particular remind me of pop art too.
